How have people been finding Boots reaction to buying the TD stuff over the last few days. Myself and the other half were in boots on Monday & bought loads - plus a good few free items - total spend around £40 on TD stuff as she wanted extra moisturiers etc.

However went in today to get a couple of freebies and got the Spanish Inquisition at the till.
"you were in the other day buying these"
    "yes I was"
"you can`t use the voucher again you know.!"
"I`m sorry - I understood it was one per transaction"
"no no no - one per customer!"
"what do you mean? I can`t use this offer again then? Where does it say this in the leaflet"
" you can`t have that for free"
"I can Madam & I will - I`ll just take one thank you."
"How many vouchers do you have?? It`s one per customer and thats all you can have"

My OH went in around half an hour later and overheard the same person saying to her collegue that "she was in with him you know".
She proceeded to buy some products and got a TD one as well. During the transaction the SA tutted at her and carried on complaining about me to another SA.

I`m not a happy bunny over that senario. So tomorrow I`ll be back to Boots to find out the stores definition of a transaction and I`ll stick to it word for word. If they tell me I have to get 1 item and leave to complete a transaction I will. Lets see how many times I can do that in a hour.

    Blooming jobsworths.

I was chatting to a nice s/a while getting my freebies today. I mentioned that Boots had really made a !!!! up with these vouchers.... her reply was 'Oh no not Boots, They really know what they're doing, they want you to try the range and keep on coming back for more'. One point in her reply was correct.... we will keep on going back for more...... as long as its free! :D

The staff at Teeside have either been nice or uninterested.
  • If anyone can tear themselves away from TD and DR, there is a product on the Aromatherapy range which is coming up mispriced. It says it is £4.00 on the shelf but it scans at £2.00, and so with the voucher it is only £1.00. Its called "Blissful" euau de toilette and I really like the smell.

Would warn though that when I went to get two at Nottingham Viccie Centre, there was a pow-wow going on as we passed and I asked what time they shut, and the books of vouchers were being looked at. When I came back later they said I was only allowed to use one per customer, and when I said it doesn't say that, she refused to serve me. I then said well we are two customers as my 8 year old son was there too, she still refused and said she could get the sack. She then called over her supervisor who allowed it, but they are obviously taking a stand on this now so fill your boots while you can.
There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.
  • I saw gift sets yesterday (can't remember what was in them) and they were Sensual Aromatherapy - is this the same one as the Essential Aromatherapy ones please anyone?

No they're different but you could try and use the voucher and see what happens...
