Apple Quick Time and playing of videos

I have another question. I have made a couple of videos (on the mobile phone) and now converted them to play in Quick Time on my website. Click HERE and HERE. However in the first one when you press the "play" button it only playes a small amount, but when you select the second one when you press the "play" button it works a treat.

Do I have to change something on the webpage or do I have to get rid of one of the videos?

Thanks

Mmmm Ive had a look and the second file is more like a still shot and
the first one plays but stops as you say.... maybe a bad upload.. a good thing to do
is to try and convert them to a wmv format as thats used more around the net
and user reports suggest that Quicktime is getting less popular, because of the
bundled package with itunes, you can still get a standalon version of Quicktime
but the avaerage user doesnt know this and when a site says get Quicktime
you can be directed towards itunes aswell which is a bit off putting.

I did find some software once that converts 3gp to wmv I will have a look.

    Yep this is it http://www.riverpast.com/en/support/tutorials/convert/3gp/wmv.php

best thing to do is to get VLC it plays quicktime videos, instead of using the new and painful quicktime from apple. If you making video try sorenson 3 compression its small clear and most people will have it.
  • It looks like you're uploading 3gp videos without converting them first. I'd do what another poster suggests – convert them to AVI or MPEG 4 format before uploading them.
