Cancel a CC, How Long Before Credit Rating/Score Is Updated Accordingly????

Hi,

I have a NatWest credit care which I used for a 0% balance transfer. I have no need for the card now.

Can someone tell me if I was to cancel this card, how long does it take for information regarding the card to be removed from my credit rating/score?

I had no missed payments during the life of the BT deal.

I believe it is 6 years.

When you cancel the card it can take about a month for this to be marked as settled on your credit file.

The payment history of this card will remain on your credit file for 6 years from the date it was settled.
