in Credit cards
I have just found out that the stockist for my wedding dress has gone into liquidation. Can i still claim for it as she is only a stockist? I have paid half of the value of the dress as deposit.

Can you provide a bit more information on the situation.
Did you pay by credit card?0 -
Yes i paid the deposit on my credit card. i have my statement and receipts for it. My dress has been ordered and was due to be ready anytime now. I brought it from a shop that is a stockist for the designer so im not sure if i can claim as its the shop that has gone bust!
Is there any other information that you need?0 -
Provided that the shop was actually going to supply you with the dress, i.e. they were buying it from the designer and then selling it to you (which is the normal way that such a shop would operate), then provided the dress cost more than £100, even if the deposit was for less than £100, you can make a claim.
There is an excellent guide to section 75 on this site - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/section75-protect-your-purchases0
