I'm looking for somewhere thats quick and easy ideally.

Thanks for any suggestions

Why not stick an ad up in your local Uni library?

Green Metropolis. But a fixed, and low, price. Best would be to new students or auction.
  • Try listbooks.co.uk
Free to list books, and no commision if / when they sell.

Its good for buying and selling books. Often books are cheaper to purchase than on Amazon, because sellers prefer people to purchase through that site - so they list the books at less than on Amazon.
  • Dos your uni have it's own book shop? Here in Newcastle there's book shop in the union which buys unwanted books from students.

  • hey, you can sell it on here, http://www.stuff4uni.co.uk/, but I was wondering what books you are selling since I am studying civil engineering at the moment and am looking to buy my books for as cheap as possible, Im looking for mechanics, fluid mechanics, maths, properties of concrete books. cheers, Ash

There's a site called eunibooks.co.uk I think. It's quite new though, I don't know how successful it is. It's like amazon in the way of setting up and advertising. It's free to join and advertise, but you have to sort out the payment side separately with whoever wants to buy your book. The prices look much higher than on amazon. I haven't tried it yet myself, but you might want to give it a go.

Do you realise that the rules regarding advertising your own site on this site have changed?

Here's a quote from the rules.................

    ADVERTISING

This site is free from advertising. Posts on any board considered to be advertising goods, services and/or companies will be removed.

Examples of this can include anything from a specific sales post or a link to your own website in which you attempt to sell something to someone offering their holiday home to forum members. Unfortunately we cannot allow any advertising of any description no matter how honourable the intention.

This includes the Referrals Board (see below).

If you think you have a genuinely good deal please contact a Board Guide for the board you’d like to post it on. If they agree with you they’ll contact the MSE Team and it will be considered. Any final decision will be that of the MSE Team. Please do not question the response with the Board Guide.

    REFERRERS BOARD

Posts should only be made on the Referrers board where site users have spotted a deal which can only be accessed via that person giving a referral/via their referral link. It is not for advertising goods/services/companies.

If you think that you have a good idea. Why don't you contact the team and ask their permission to post links? They mention this in the rules..........

The MSE team are the only people that can grant you permission to advertise your own site on this site.
