Rate cuts passed on at last

  • I couldn't find this rate on TSB or C&G website. What is fee on this mortgage? What is the deposit required? If we are talking about cheaper mortgage then HSBC offers +0.99% BOE BR tracker (i.e. 3.99%) but you need 40% deposit. So what is the deposit required?

If you don't have enough deposit it is still not the right time for you. It is not cheaper.

not only are property prices the right level for you now - but you're now complaning that you can't get the deposit together now... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

you can always ask to set up a sub-sub-board "Lower House Deposit Levels"

Read my post properly! Where have I told you I can't get a deposit together? so childish! So many bloody kids in this forum.

Yes, I think your the sort of person who goes to the toliet when it's your round.

You really seem to have a strong obsession with attributing personal traits to a person who you have never and will never meet. I'd suggest you take the internet a bit less seriously.
Most people want a home to live in and comtabale mortgage repayments. You want an investment and to make as much money from it as possible.
No, I want to get a house at a reasonable price and am advising others to wait too as given current circumstances, I see house prices going down at least as much again as they already have (almost 15% in a year). And as my sig says, every quid you save when buying will translate into more than 3 quid of gross earnings saved when paying back the mortgage ..if you need one of course.

What odds is it to you whether I or other people wait to buy at lower prices, hmmm  Are you somehow of the belief that you need to talk the market up to save your own skin? It certainly seems to be a common belief amongst the bull factor here that what is said on MSE might actually move the real market <makes swirly finger sign against temple> so you're hoping to sucker some people in?

That's about the only thing I can think of but feel free to enlighten me as to why you are urging people to pay tens of thousands more than they need to on a site called moneySAVINGexpert?

Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.

it's childish when you blame everyone for your own plight and expect things to be given to you that most people would have to work for.

you can't buy because property prices were too high, now you can't buy because you don't want to pay fees or even raise a bigger deposit.

if your affordability isn't there, go and buy something where you can afford. simple.

No, you want to get a house at the cheapest possible price, and you've mentioned a few times your planning to get into BTL when the market has bottomed. Not that im having at you for this.

My argument is that everyone's circumstances is unique, it may not be fessable for some to wait a year to buy a house.

Mortgages are getting cheaper. Houses are getting cheaper. For some, the next 6-12 months will be a good time to buy.

I'd guess more like 18 months.

But once they've stabilised, that will be the time to buy.

There's no rush after they bottom out. Barring general inflation (i.e. wage rises to match price rises) prices aren't about to go up at anything like the rate we saw before and a couple of years of price stagnation wouldn't surprise me.

If we get actual strong inflation however, all bets are off.

Have your HPC mates been getting at you to change your mind?

But he/she forgets to mention that the lending criteria is a lot stricter then it was? Risk is now something they consider. Mortgages may be cheaper, but it's much harder to actually get one!

All you need is a decent credit history. Like chucky pointed out - I doubt many people on here have.
