Liverpool City Centre comprises of the L1, L2 and L3 postcodes. Wavertree/Edge Hill is about 2.5 miles out, Old Swan isn't that far out either, neither is Anfield/Everton, not sure. Crosby's too far. Maybe Prescot? I'm rubbish at geography.

Could be the Casbah Coffee Club in West Derby, heres why:

-west derby is about 4 miles from liverpool city centre, the club itself is 3.5miles from liverpool city centre.. which is close enough to 4 miles for me!
-John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ken Brown (the quarrymen) often played at The Casbah as other venues, like the The Cavern Club, had a jazz-only policy at that time (See wiki)
-its a tourist attraction
-Other artists and groups like Cilla Black, Rory Storm and the Hurricanes, The Searchers and Gerry & The Pacemakers (reference to ferry across the Mersey think it was Toniq who spotted this one) later played in the club
-The club was closed on 24 June 1962, with The Beatles as the last group to perform (wiki again)
-VERY cultured place from everything thats happened there, still has a lot of the original features e.g. walls and ceilings as painted by the beatles
