Public auctions HMRC Bankrupt

Hi,

Can anyone tell me where HMRC and bankrupt auctions take place.

There are a number of sites saying they have lists but want money for something that may not be any use.

Most local auction houses auction this stuff off alongside their normal stuff. The ones local to me state on their paperwork that they 'are instructed by HMRC and xx bailiffs and court' or something similar to that.

Auction houses do not tend to have many webistes in place, and each authority just uses a local auction house for disposal, rather than anything spoecifically for themselves.

The best/biggest one I've been to myself is in South London - http://www.auction.u-net.com/

Official Receiver's tend to use local estate agents to dispose of bankrupt stock, so check those out too

There are some auction houses contracted to take larger HMRC stocks and more regional ones who do oddments.
Apart from checking when the announcements are in your local paper, the best national details are probably in auction news, there is a subscription charge, but they do actually check with the auction houses when their sales are on, unlike some others who used to just make dates up! I used to have my own auction rooms, we used to get people turning up on random days having read it in a publication.

I got the details of a local auction house from there and paid them a visit last year, some cracking stuff went under the hammer, cheap as chips too!
