A&L Overdraft tip

Options
Hi all,

Not sure if this is a well-known thing. And if it is, apologies in advance.

I went into A&L yesterday to pay some money into my account to cover a DD. They offered me an overdraft.

I explained that I don't have great credit, only have a basic account, and wouldn't be able to get one, but thanks anyway.

The girl said that there's no 'pink line' showing, so I could have one.

I still didn't take it, but wondered if anyone knows about the 'pink line', what it refers to, and what the implications of having/not having one are (apart form the OD obviously!)

Anyway, thought I'd share that little experience - it might be of use to someone....
