HELP! Missing Icons

Hi,
I have noticed that the following icons have disappeared:
Volume Icon
Wireless Icon
Battery Icon.
I have tried loads of sollutions and they all dont seem to work, one of them i have tried is, say if i wanted the volume icon back, well i went on volume control settings and when i ticked the box and clicked ok nothing happened so i went back on the volume control and it was unticked again.
And for wirless and battery the boxs are already ticked and its confusing me .
Please can someone help me because i have been trying for ages.

right click just to the side of the clock on the taskbar, properties, uncheck hide inactive iconsUtinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0
