Credit Report

Can some1 please tell me the best site for getting my credit report? I done one back along for my OH with experian which was ok but it was such a long process by the time they had sent out the stuff and then we had to confirm it etc etc, or are they all like that?

  • you should be able to apply for it online. If there's a problem verifying your details, then they'll have to do it in the way you describe.
    Personally, I use checkmyfile.com. It's pretty expensive, but I'm quite happy using it and it puts all three reports side-by-side.
    I'm not advocating checkmyfile by the way - just saying it works for me, and my needs.

    We did apply online but they had to send out a code in the post so that we could enter it online to proove it was us. Is this the same with all of them? I will check out that site now, thanks

  • yeah, i had the same thing.
    With checkmyfile, if you ask for a copy of any of your reports, they'll send it out for free.
    Not sure if this is common practice, but they've done it for me twice now.
