  • I'm a Bootser from West Yorkshire too, and *whispers* I have a friend who works for Boots but unless I am sure offer is ok I won't go to her till cos don't want her to get in trouble.

  • Evening all :hello:

EA consultant wouldn't let me have the eyeshadow quad without the consultation, boo hoo! I tried to explain it was far too busy in there today, and I couldn't get down in the week, so she suggested I go next Saturday first thing when it was quiet...I was so close to throwing myself on the floor in a tantrum, well it works for my 3 year old DD pmsl!

I am still trying to catch up. I notice that some people have had problems getting TS & pinkie accepted. Panic... as I still have quite a few sets to use up tomorrow.

I am hoping to use them on the SS tills, are they likely to work? I notice SK has managed it, but thats because she has a magic carpet and extra skills :p
Also noticed that others have had problems using them on single No7 items... more panic. I gather its varies from store to store, so I will just take the chance, can't bear to let them go to waste.

I really enjoyed reading the messages about facebook, particularly, but not only

A lot of people seem to think they know and can trust each other but we are all on here under a pseudonym and could be anyone! I could be a 37 year old male profit protection manager for Boots and no one would be any the wiser. Just because I may have given a name and address to send a voucher does not mean I am really Mrs Blah.
I think if we are all a little less 'over the top' in our postings we will find Boots might be a little less interested and as a bonus we may find fewer duplicate postings and it will be easier to find what is new.
Just my opinion not aimed at anyone in particular.

A great point and well made. :T :T I know for a fact that there is at least one person on here that uses 2 or 3 diffferent names and addresses, and one has to wonder why? Anyone can be anything they want on here and that leaves room for abuse as well as anonymity
    passion8 snipped......
Earlier this year, some mean-spirited person signed up to MSE to post a link to the existing facebook account. Being the inquisitive person that I am, I hit the link after someone sent a PM saying that they'd seen my user name on there. I looked to see what I'd allegedly written, didn't have time to see what I was supposed to have posted, so did a quick copy and paste of approximately three pages.

It transpired that someone had mixed me up with another poster, and I didn't think too much about it, but I did notice that the majority of people had used their full names, locations, and user names on MSE. I remembered earlier about the copy and paste list that I've mentioned, took a quick glance of it, and Googled a couple of names from the few names that I'd spotted..

I now know at least one MSE poster's telephone number. I also know what another poster bought and reviewed on a site. And that another poster had a problem with a court case claim. They're the only posters I've Googled so far.

I noticed that someone else from this site had adopted your username but changed it slightly, but it was still the same phonetically.

The thing is...I dont have one infront of me but im sure the voucher says an 'free eysshadow quad AND a comlimentry consultation' not a free eye quad WHEN you get a consulatation. Thats what I took from it.I think my local EA lady just loves seeing others getting a bargain. The thing is last week me and my mum were looking at the shiny black bag thingy with all the goodies for £40, but we looked at the shades of lippie and made comments on the colour like...garish, awful..70s etc...then the EA sa laughed next ot us and said "those are the colours I wear, infact Ive got that one on now" i was mortified :o:o:o

try another Boots and say my mum got one without a consult blah blah

There's not another boots nearby with EA, and the rep I talked to is the only one I've seen up there. So I'll give up on the EA eye compact, I'd hate to buy a mag I don't really want just for an eye compact I can't get, lol.
  • I still haven't been brave enough to use a TS and pinky together, does this make me an official Bootsing wuss? Although I am brave/stupid (delete as appropriate) to get 3 metallic pencils using 3 100 points ACM vouchers and 3 pinkies at the No7 counter, and I didn't get growled at :rotfl:

  • Am I the only one who actually wanted the consultation:rotfl:

got up at the crack of dawn and went out without any slap on so she could make me look gorgeous - she wasn't there and had none left!!! (or so they said:rolleyes: )

Just a quick question RE 342 s ang g and 1 no7 products then using ts and pinkie to get it all for say 4 like someone mentioned earlier. Can this be done using anything else as well? Also i cudnt see any suncare in telford today and i really want a gwp of mens and womens. Oh well may go to another boots tomorro and use them up cant waste them now can i? xx
Yes so long as your No.7 item is £5 or more it will offset the balance of the pinkie/ts against whatever else you have in your basket. IBut you choose a £4 No.7 item it will only take off £4 from the rest of your basket.
Some one said they found the suncare on a totally different section away from the No.7 stand, in mine it was on the No.7 stand but right down near the floor. They had definitely restocked though, cos last week there were only 1 or 2 bits, this week it was brimming. So maybe you'll have more luck tomorrow. hth
