Had to pay a special visit to Boots today as I gave the blue/green liquid eyeliner from the GWP to DD which we are have much trouble getting off.

Ended up getting No7 eye make up remover, it is now removed from her eye lids but her eyelashes are now stained......... I feel an email to CS coming on.

The "Stay Perfect" one? Yep, it sure does live up to it's name doesn't it?

Personally I think the No7 eye make remover is pretty rubbish - considering it's not exactly cheap. It always leaves my eyes sore too :( The best one I've found is the Botanics one - very cheap (usually on offer too) and does the job....... but even THAT struggles with that No7 eyeliner. I find using some baby oil first really helps - soak a cotton wool pad with it and just hold it to the eye for a couple of minutes, gently massinging it around. This helps to 'lift' it and then the eyemakeup remover can remove it.

    HTH :)

  • hey all :hello:

Had a REALLY good boots day today!! :D
Went in and got a No7 highlighter palette, highlighting lotion in pink and GWP....went to the till and got the shock of my life instead of the LOVELY, HELPFUL, WONDERFUL No7 assistant that is usually there, there was a DRAGON in her place...already had my ts/pinkie out, and she literally dragged the basket off me..she put the items through, and look one look at TS and Pinkie...and said, "You can't use both, which one shall I scan?" in a really snotty way. I was well annoyed but determined! lol so I said..."Both please, they do work, and according to customer services, provided they scan and the till accepts it, I am allowed to use any number of vouchers I like" smiled sweetly, my heart pounding, about to faint, and go to hell for my lies....she looks like thunder, and smugly says "Fine, but it won't work.." scans em and it works...she looks even madder, so I smiled..and said "Well, look at that - thank you for being so helpful.." and walked away...then came back with 5 nail varnishes and made her put them through seperately with a pinkie x 5...she was livid, and I was so pleased :rotfl:

Don't know what got into me, I never normally challenge SAs...just normally mumble "ok.." :o :rotfl: :rotfl:

So pleased, but I blame you lot :rotfl:

Brilliant :T I wish I'd thought of that. I tried with the SA yesterday and after a bit of arm twisting got him to scan them, when they worked, he said they shouldn't and voided one
    btw - is it true?

having a look through my pile of gwp coupons
    there are
250 when you buy any no7 product (new ladies gwp)
250 when you buy any no7 product (doesn't state it is for mens) from the new mens gwp
and 150 when you buy any mens prouct no7 from the last mens gwp

so technically if you buy one mens no7 item you should be able to use all 3 of those :D

    really must go now lol

I don't think its strictly true what I said to the SA but I read this on the first page a while ago:
Is it accepted under Boots' policy to use more than one voucher per transaction?
Yes! The official word from customer services is "I can confirm that you are able to use more than one voucher at a time per transaction. Our tills are programmed to ensure you receive the best offer available. There is a limit to how many vouchers you can use, but this depends upon the offers you have received and the voucher."
And just sorta put it in my own words :rotfl:

When you mention CS most SAs just go with it, but I was lucky as she wasn't vindictive enough to take the name on my card and check with CS - had she checked with them first, I have a feeling they would have said no :o

I love the johnsons 3 in 1 eye make up remover pads (can't find a piccy on .com but they come in the round pink and white tub). I find they take the eye make up really easily without having to really rub which you have to do with a lot of them. I found the no7 eye make up remover rubbish, but then it may because i prefer the pads to the liquid remover. Oh and i also tried the expert eye make up remover pads recently and found them to be rubbish. They were sooooo oily and yuk and really harsh on my skin:( .

Had an ace Boots shop today, me and my friend combined coupons and were on a mission to get her OH some no.7 grooming products and gwp for minimum outlay. Success!

    Shop 1:
No.7 mens hair and body wash 6.50
    No.7 men's wake up facial wash 6.50
    No.7 metallic eyeliner 7.00
    GWP

Used No.7 £5 off colour cosmetics from mailing and pinkie together so got the lot for a tenner. My favourite sa called me a cheeky !!!!!!. :D Just a shame my friend had no points vouchers or metallic acm voucher to use as well.

    Shop 2:
    No.7 men's aftershave balm

Used pinky and 250 pts from gwp
    Paid £1.50 with 250pts back

    Shop 3:
    metallic eyeliner

Used pinky and 250 pts from ladies gwp and 100 pts from acm
Paid £2 with 350 pts back
    Did this twice

    Shop 4:
    metallic eyeliner
    Used pinky and 100pts acm
    £2 and 100pts back.

    Shop 5:
Dramatic eyes pallette on clearance £5.38
Used pinkie so 38p to pay

I am now fully stocked with metallic eyeliner lol.

One disappointment in the day was not being able to use the bluey on mens TD, thought I was going to have a points bonanza with the acm and mag voucher but computer said no.
