Hmm, so I was going to get 2 eyebrow pencils (@ £9.50) and one eye makeup remover (@ £11.50) from Clinique at tomorrow night's shopping event. Then get some other things to make it up to £50.

500 points for 2 Clinique makeup (automatic)
750 points for 2 Clinique, one to be skincare (voucher)
    1000 points for £50 spend
500 points for £50 spend (voucher from last Xmas shopping night)
250 points for £30 spend (acm voucher)
150 points for £20 spend (mailing voucher, if they'll take it)

Total: 3150 points total on £50 spend

Would it be better to wait til the 1000 points on 3 items is on? Then it would be:
1000 points for 3 Clinique items (if two can be makeup)
750 points for 2 Clinique items (voucher)
250 points for £30 spend (acm voucher)
150 points for £20 spend (mailing voucher)

    2150 points on £30.50 spend

Which would you suggest? I don't strictly need *two* eyebrow pencils (they're for mil's b'day/xmas presents), nor do I strictly need the eyemakeup remover (would keep it at bf's. Could use a cheaper one, I just like Clinique's).

    What do you suggest?
I was going to get one or two lots of £5-£6 17 things to get free eye dazzle and the GWP anyway, since the eye dazzle voucher is for Xmas evenings only.

just wanna ask fellow bootsers ...is it consider stealing when taking GWP that scanned 0.00 without buying the product stated. For example when taking and scanning the S&G GWP when it goes as 0.00 at SS tills without actually buying 15 pound worth of S&G product.. don't want to get into trouble if doing that in the future.. thanks

 yeah I would think so ! surprised at the question really, its a gift with purchase not a freebie.

This is a tricky one.I know many folks scan trillions of these and give these free:rolleyes: items to charity. However, I know my mums Church have clearly stated that they do not want items obtained in this way, for their appeals, as you are giving at the expense of someone else (even if it is the corporate giant Mr B). I did try to say it was Like Robin Hood ..taking from the rich to give the poor, but the Vicar aint having it:rotfl:

I think its a personal thing, and I will scan anything and everyting in persuit of a bargain....sorry.............. am I wrong:rotfl:
I appreciate Each and Every win. I thank every comp poster from the bottom of my heart :A

    I got the S&G Grab Bag and it had a £2.00 off S&G valid from01/09/08 til 31.03.09

I also got the £2.00 voucher in the Grab Bag, but nothing in the Pink Pamper set. I think the problem with the Grab Bag is that it's not sealed properly and the vouchers are going astray  .
  • Just returned from a very disappointing Afternoon At The Ball - in other words, the Boots event at Lakeside. My invitation said there would be demonstrations, and things to try and buy.

Nothing. Nada. Zilch. When I asked an SA about it, she said "you're getting 1000 points if you spend £50. What more do you want?", so I replied "a little courtesy wouldn't go amiss", and flounced off.

We didn't see any S&G bags, that everyone's been talking about, there were loads of people just mooching about with disappointed faces, then one woman said "If you go to M&S, they're giving away quite large samples of their own brand of Baileys, and some nice chocolate biscuits, and butter shortbread ones too".

So about 20 of us scurried (well, walked as quickly as age permitted) to M&S, where a lovely woman dished out glasses of Baileys, and biscuits, and we all had a nice chat, and talked about Life and things like that.

Then we were all given another glass, and another biscuit, and we rolled home on the bus, friends for life!
