I managed to SBT with Barclaycard Platinum Visa

Don't know if this will help anyone.

I did a balance transfer to HSBC from Barclaycard. Because HSBC took so long to process my application the balance transfer took me £60 in credit.

I phoned Barclaycard to ask for the credit balance back and they transfered it to my bank account.

I would imagine you could get away with this once or twice (with bigger balances) without too many problems.

OK i'm missing this. How did you end up in credit, and was it only the £60 you SBT'd?

Barclaycard balance at time of HSBC application about £2070.

5 weeks for HSBC to process application and balance transfer.

Payment was due on Barclaycard before balance transfer took place.

Balance transfer took place after I made payment to Barclaycard. Hence being in credit of about £60. :xmassmile
