Goes under foam backed carpets to stop the backing sticking to the floorboards and then being a bu99er to lift when you change it.;)0 -
Well PN, son is in a new flat - the guy opposite also has laminate flooring so Im guessing this lady (she is there alone) has become fixated for some reason or other -.....................?
Many thanks comment re pipes banging (there is no central heating) - a year or so ago she reckoned water was "pouring" from his flat into hers. He went down and she had condensation dripping from her own pipes
He had new double glazing put in last year and she was hammering on the door asking what all the noise was about - erm, she knew he was having it done - how can you have window frames removed and replaced without noise for a few hours. She is just totally unreasonable. When she moved in downstairs he had her relatives doing the flat up for weeks beforehand, banging at all hours, including early weekends - he works odd shifts so he went through a miserable time, but didnt say a word as he knew it was short term.
He has already put down rugs but she still complained to the management agent - amusingly son is on the managment committee, so they are aware he is not some party raving inconsiderate animal. He has offered to have a mediator but she refuses to allow anyone in her flat.
ANYWAY, thats the point, he wants to do everything he can so he can say he has done so.
So does anyone know names or grades or whatever of bedroom carpet he should be looking for please?0 -
I wouldnt bother getting carpets in..wood floors are easier to keep clean..If she is this bad complaining about having windows put in Then nothing will make her happy...THE SHABBY SHABBY FOUNDER0

Well, he is a very reasonable person and he doesnt want to leave the tenants with a problem. I shall give him a ring and tell him that bedroom carpet with attached foam underlay should be sufficient. Thanks for the input guys.0
