Problem every time I switch printer on

You know the sheet you print out whenever you change ink? The one with the lines on it and colours to check the calibration? Well, every single time I switch the printer on, it prints one. Which is a waste of ink and paper, and very annoying. Any ideas?

If you google the problem, you'll find someone saying this:
Hi,
I just had the same problem. All you have to do it put the printed test page into the scanner and press the scan button on the printer (like it shows you in the diagrams, 3 steps). On my test page, it shows the test page being put into the scanner with the 2 black squares to your left, and the 3 black squares to your right as you look at the printer.
The printer has now stopped printing a test page everytime I turn the printer on. Hope this helps.
I should point out that I've no idea whether it works, but if it's a wind-up, it's a very convincing sounding one...0 -
Hi Fwor, I should have said that I've done that already. Will try again though.0
