Current or Very Recent Kaupthing Edge Transfers

I may do a large transfer of money out of my Kaupthing Edge (ING) account.

Has any one done a very recent transfer (BACS/CHAPS) without having to wait longer than normal for the money to reach their destination account?

I am also interested in anyone with recent BACS transfers into KE. Are they being conducted in a timely fashion as I'm thinking of putting some money back in. Tx.

£10 transferred on Thursday 30 October (before 2pm) arrived in Halifax account Monday 3 November labelled "Chaps".

£4000 transferred on Tuesday 4 November (before 2pm) arrived in Halifax account today (Friday 7 November) at approx 3pm, also labelled "Chaps".

I had 3pm in my mind as the cut-off time for CHAPS payments - coincidence?

Transferred large sum 3pm on Fri 31 Oct by BACS (3 working days). Got onscreen message that transfers after 2pm do not take place til next working day (Mon 3rd Nov). Money arrived promptly in my account on Thurs 6th Nov.

Decided to take the risk of transferring my money and maybe I was just lucky? Now I've got it I'm not quite sure what to do with it with all the interest rates likely to take a dive tho!

Rather than an initial large transfer, why not try with, say £5, as a test run just to see how it goes?
If it does disappear into the ether, as have a lot of transfers initiated when KE went belly up, then it's far less stressful fighting to retrieve £5 rather than a few £k.
Also bear in mind the system could be very "busy" soon with all those Icesave transfers commencing soon (hopefully).
I have a KE fixed due to mature in a month and hoping things are back to normal by then to transfer that out.

Check your interest rate. Mine has fallen to 4.55% gross, as have many others on here, it may affect your decision.

Thank goodness for this thread! I would not have checked my account a second time.

I initiated a payment on Monday 3rd at 9am. Due to a problem with their system, this did not leave my Kaupthing account until Tuesday. It had not arrived in my linked account until this morning. I found it in the afternoon marked "International".

When I spoke to them this morning I was told that payments are taking longer than normal as each payment had to be approved by the administrators. An automated message said that they would refund interest and CHAPS fees for delayed payments.
