no it wasn't my first credit card. think i had had a couple beforehand with limits of approx £1k and £4k.A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining and wants it back the minute it begins to rain.0 -
My wife has a credit card which she put my name onto yes..
I use to work with the big blue and had a corporate AMEX through the work.. So some relationship but don't know if that would effect things..
As far as credit rating, at the moment it's very good, bordering on excelent.. Lots of debt but never missed payments type thing..0 -
useful stuff, anyone else?

Dosser, please can you enlighten us on why this line of questionning, as you have posted similar threads re: getting a loan without proof of salary etc. Sorry to sound suspicious but maybe you could share some of your situation and get appropriate advice from the forum0

I trust you are intending to honour any credit agreements you may obtain ?:rolleyes: It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them :rolleyes:0 -
i am just trying to gain as much info about credit as possible-
i find that myself and my mates tend to fall in the trap of applying for credit when all other credit is exhausted!
but this is when your credit report is weak so rejections are likely!
i am self employed{proof of salary question}
i have just moved address{electoral roll question}
with regards to limited i.d i find that deduction baseless and frankly insulting!
i am an entrepreneur and see the ability to borrow money in order to make money as the holy grail in a capitalist society- :money:
the price of having a bad credit record{not honouring agreements} is outweighed by the benefit of having a good one{ability to invest in opportunities when you see them}- :idea:
the fact that when someone thinks outside the box, people get suspicious reflects one of two things-
1. the unstable, paranoid society we currently inhabit
2. how rare it is, to think outside the box
whatever happened to the eccentric! :silenced:

It all depends on circumstances and the bank involved
Not strictly true. £850 Limit, plus no late payment charges, plus no overlimit charges, plus no overseas transaction charges ($300 dollars charged yesterday converted at $1.75 to the pound), plus 29.9% apr (not paid any interest cos I clear the balance every month). From Vanquis, for £19 a year, seems like a good deal to me. Any one disagree?Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.
