Volt and VU controls

Hi - on my new computer at the front I have 2 slider controls - one marked VOLT and one marked VU. Does anyone know what these do, and should I set them at MAX or MIn

This is to do with sound/volume or something like that a bit like an amplifier maybe.
What make and model of PC and if its new wheres the instuction book

Majority of the time, I believe these controls would be to control the fans in your computer as the Volt meter would lead me to believe that it's doing exactly that. But, with the VU meter, I think "Intel" might be right that it's to do with your sound card. If you let us know what kinda sound card you got, maybe we can confirm that.0

Thanks - the computer is a new Mesh - no mention of what the controls do in the instructions. The soundcard is a Realtek AC 97 audio.0
