Click 5 or 6
Hello There, first post.
Basically bought my first house and now have been on BG Click Energy 5 for the last 6 months. I was not told of the price rise, and did not even know Click 6 existed until I came on to this website. Now do I swap to Click 6 or stay on 5, I am really unsure on this as I am new to the whole thing!
Any advice tips etc would be very much appreciated.
ps - I did see on another site that Gas was more expensive on Click 6, so the best way to do it, is just to Change Elec to 6, and keep Gas on 5? Does anyone know if this is true?
Thanks
Kris

Hi Kris, and welcome to the Board! Depends how you view BGs habit of continually superseding their Click tariffs and leaving their loyal customers on the more expensive 'old' click tariff, I suppose. Personally, I am disgusted by it so decided to stick it to them and it's all explained in this thread:

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
You could phone BG and ask their price per unit of gas and electric on click 5 (now) for your area and also ask what their prices per unit are for your area on click 6.
That way you can just do a direct compare of what you are paying now (with the price change) compared to the cost of click 6.
All energy companies have a quite large amount of time to tell you of their price rise (in writing) but you will be paying that new price as of the day they announced the change (unless you change to another provider within a set number of days of them writing to you) in which case you pay the old rate.
Clear as mud isn't it.
cheers.

Apart from some minor savings on Click5 for Economy 7 in some areas, I think you will find Click 6 is cheaper for everything else0 -
I went on to click 6 was cheaper for me0
