  • Hi,

Dont think these figures are a surprise to anyone especially posters on this site.

Also sadly the indications as far as NED-CAB are concerned is that the trend will continue with more people than ever needing advice & support.

    Keep up the good work.

    Sincerely

    All at NED-CAB

Far be it for little old me to judge but.... not sure the recent rate cut is a good thing in all respects....it will only serve to encourage people to spend more!!..that seems to be the message that the media are portraying!

Trouble ahead though when the rates WILL rise again (inevitable !!) then even more people will be caught in the `debt trap`! We get used to a low mortgage/loan payments (as I did) only to face massive rises later on that then can`t be met !!

Why have we no programmes on the TV/Media about dealing with debt & educating on debt management??There are so many programmes on how to cook/dress up/look 10 years younger ....but what about a prime time factual/realistic series on `living with debt` ??? surely I`m not the only person to notice this?

......but then the Government & Banks might not agree as they want us to keep borrowing!!! personal debt is something that most people keep hidden until it gets out of control ! ....would`nt it be better to encourage people to do something sooner rather than when its too late??

    Just my late night ramblings!

Its in the government's interest for eveyone yo be 'lost' in reality tv like x factor, cooking, lookinging 10 years younger, fat removel etc as it keeps our mins occupied and out of their 'business'. My husband has been saying this for years and one of the reasons for our 5 year plan.
