    I used to have a cleaner once a week-if you get a good one, worth their weight in gold-nothing worse if you have to follow behind them and finish off jobs...

    Well no - I would say that's true. I once hoovered the house as a surprise for the (then) OH, as I could never tell the difference. Even when hoovering it, I couldn't tell the difference between before and after. She walked in and said:

    "You've hoovered the carpet!"

    I think its cos the hoover creates a certain smell. makes no difference to carpet. that's my theory.

    Does anyone else's OH do the dishes and always leave just 1 pot/pan/dish not washed?
    My OH insists everytime that 'that one needs to soak' etc. Does my nut in...
