Suggestions for Girlfriend's Christmas Presents

My girl and I have been together for 5 years and each Christmas I spend roughly between £100 and £150 on presents for her...I like to buy a range of gifts and usually end up with about 7 gifts for her. I wanna do the same this year, buying a few different presents (because she gets excited about having things to open!) but I wanna make sure I get her something that she can actually use, or something she needs. It's nice to buy her things I think she'll like as I feel I've put thought into it and she appreciates that but I feel these things aren't what she really needs..
If anyone can make any suggestions, I'd be very grateful. Nice, pointless gift suggestions are also welcome!
She's 23, quite tomboyish, drives, works in the Media industry. Loves TV programmes like Ugly Betty, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl..enjoys going to the cinema, loves a bit of everything music-wise. Loves the idea of travelling..hope this helps
Thanks! :T

PS. I know what I spend doesn't seem a lot but we're doing the long distance thing, so spend a lot on train fares and also put aside a chunk of our wages to save to put into a flat together which we're currently on the lookout for..so unfortunately there's no budget for expensive jewellery or extravagent holiday breaks.0

^^Lol - if only we could all afford expensive jewellery or holiday breaks for christmas! I think your budget seems just fine for a couple without children, you shouldn't feel like you have to explain yourself.
I would suggest you get her one slightly more expensive item for around £80-£100, then lots of smaller items for the rest, so she has an expensive gift, but lots of things to open as well.:DCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. how about a year's cinema pass? or vouchers from blockbuster? can jazz it up a little by putting the vouchers into a 'movie hamper' which has popcorn, bottle coke/wine, movie clapperboard (ebay) etc.
Could also work if you buy some boxset DVD of those programs she likes?
I'm a bit of a tomboy I guess (well i'm certainly not a girly-girl) but my mate gave a choc+wine+flowers gift for my birthday and I loved it.
Whatabout booking a weekend away - particulary as you are doing the long distance thing (i'm thinking bleak january wkd. cosy B&B/Hotel. fish&chips over looking a rough sea-side beach? i.e. it doesnt have to be expensive)=====================================

Has she got an Amazon wishlist? I have an enormous list of things on mine, I use it as a reminder to myself but can also give other people inspiration when gift buying.
Just search for the persons email on Amazon wishlists, and hopefully she's made one.,___,

Does she like cooking - how about a collection of unusual / expensive ingrediants.
Or a collection of her favourite foods - for example if you were buying for me i'd love some jelly babies, posh ginger biscuits and some hot chocolate=====================================

uggs! when i worked in tv I know comfort and looking stylish were important, and the dress code generally quite casual. Also they're comfy and warm if out on shoots or running errands as she may well be at her age. The cardy uggs are the next big thing - I like grey.
If she's quite tomboyish she'd prob love a pair - however, if she's ever commented on them being gross/ugly/hideous then of course steer well clear!!MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

Yeah I am thinking of getting a more expensive gift...even though she's not a girly girl I was thinking of getting her a nice pair of stud earrings, maybe for around £60 just for when she goes out for dinner or anything..not sure where I'll find them though. Had a few looks around but everythings either too cheap or too much..I just want something plain.
The uggs are a great idea..I think she'd appreciate the copycat ones that you can pick up for around 30 quid, more than spending 70 or more on them.
Thanks for the idea.s.keep em coming!0 -
Or how about giving her an Advent Box? Get 24 'small' presents (chocolate liqueurs, silly socks, whatever...) wrap indivividually and number 1-24.
Then maybe get something like 2 cheap (EasyJet type) tickets so you can take her for a day trip to Paris or similar, or a nice piece of jewellery etc. Wrap it and label it 25 to be opened on Christmas Day.A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!
CHALLENGES
