What can I do?

Options
Hello, wonder if anybody can help.

I have just checked my online banking, to find to my horror that I am over my overdraft

I was abroad in September, and I made a purchase by debit card. It worked out at £101, the bank have only taken the money out earlier on, so the 6th November, when the payment I made was 25th September!!

does anybody know why this payment has taken so long, I had no idea that it hadn't already been taken and I'm now over drawn and I don't get paid for another 2 weeks, so i'm going to get lots of charges....

I'm worried about this as now have no money. Would the bank put the money back into my account, or is that a really stupid question.

I hope somebody can help.

thankyou

No, the bank will not put the money back in your account. You made the payment originally, and took whatever goods you wanted. Why would they put it back? It's not like this is fraud or anything.

The payment may have taken longer because it was made abroad, or any other number of reasons - it just happens sometimes. Just chalk it up as a learning experience.
