No, cos I booked a flight from Dublin to EMA with my mate's Visa Electron (I put the money in her acct and she happily let me use it cos she's always using my Visa Debit and Mastercard to book stuff!) for me and my OH and we had no probs.

    great

so everyone who doesn't like the high card fees just needs to find a friend or family member with an Electron card to book the flights for them

(a trusted MSEr could even offer the service for a small fee)

Can you only use the Electron card on Ryanair flights.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean? Electron is accepted in many places (although I only use it for flights). I know Easyjet accept it, not sure about other airlines.

What i was getting at is will you save money on card fees,or do you have to use credit/debit cards with other airlines.(if you can make sense out of that).
  • Some other airlines accept Visa Electron without incurring a fee but you would have to check the Terms and Conditions of the individual airlines to be sure.
