Hi
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but please feel free to move if necessary!
We had a couple of solid pine chests of drawers delivered today. The delivery guys took them upstairs to the bedrooms for us and after they had gone we noticed some marks on the carpet - we initially thought that they had carried some dirt in on their shoes or something!
Upon closer inspection, it appears that something has come from the drawers as there is a line across the landing upstairs that looks like something has dripped from the units as they have been carried along - I am presuming it is the wax or whatever has been used to coat them.
Does anyone know of a way of getting this off? Our carpets are Cream and these marks stick out like a sore thumb.. they look terrible!!
Thanks in advance

You could try the method for getting candle wax off.
Hot iron and paper to absorb the wax as it melts and a bit of white spirit to get rid of the rest. But I'd experiment somewhere out of sight or if you've an offcut knocking around, on that.0 -
Have you considered phoning the company the furniture was delivered from and ask them to have a look at it? Perhaps they might know what is and maybe even offer to try and fix it.0

Thanks for the advice both of you!
It looks worse this morning in daylight!
I have phoned the company and they are getting the boss to call me back - although that was nearly two and a half hours ago!!!0
