Debit Card Money taken from ATM

On monday £140 was taken from my account 200 yards from my house, and i didn't do it and there was more than this amount in the card, so why didnt they take it all?

However i had my card on me all the time.

Now my girlfriend has a serious sleeping disorder and i know she went sleepwalking that night but don't know at what time or where. We are worried that £120 she found in her room is linked...but we dont know.

Is there any way we can find out who withdrew it and when?
I went into the bank and they said they can only find out if i report it to the police (its a halifax machine in a sainsburys local and apparently they dont have records on time of withdrawal there!)

I don't want to start a criminal prosecution here, it could be my gf and not her fault! But it seems like thats the only way. Long shot posting on here, but please help!!

My statement shows when and where all my ATM withdrawals were made.

You lose £140 she finds £120

You are only £20 down, be happy

    (and change your PIN)
  • If the machine takes photos of the person using it then you can do a subject access request under the data protection act to get 'your' image from them (I believe this is included in the definition of information about you).

There may be a problem if it isn't your image though

Look on the information commissioner's website for how to do a subject access request.

Regardless I would cancel your card, query the amount and wait to see what happens (oh and it may be worth not telling your GF your pin if it turns out to be her on the photo)

Lock the door and hide the key's, handcuff her to the bed (ooh kinky :D ) and as the previous poster said...change your pin. ;)
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.
