Does anyone know if it is possible to hire specialist equipment eg portable highchairs, to take abroad, and if so where from?

The Red cross hire some things. It depends on your area, but some GP's surgeries can also arrange some equipment too. Your local council may also be able to help.0

Depending on where you are going, it is also worth enquiring about hire in your destination country. My friend is dependent on an electric mobility scooter to get around, although she can manage in the hotel. She was able to hire one in the locality, which saved her the bother of taking hers with her.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

Or call the Holiday Care Service on 0845 124 9971. I think that's the right number.
