can i put it on the market !!!

its all so sad but we have been parted for two yrs, and both agreed to put the house on the market, we said the it would need decorating done which has been donr now he keeps putting it of, He lives ther but is often down at his girfriends, i said i could show people around but he refuses and said he would ring all estate agents and tell them that he does not want it on the market, what can i do i live in rented accomodation and would like to move on, He has planned a holiday going on the 29th, but has gone now not to return till the 7th of jan, could i legaly put the house on the market while he his not there we are both on the deeds,!!!!

    I think you need proper legal advice. If you can't get to a solicitor then the Citizens Advice Bureau might be able to help but they are often very busy at this time of year. Someone else might be able to give you very general pointers if you say whether you were actually married or not. If you were, what stage are you at with divorce proceedings? And what do the deeds say: are you 'joint tenants' or 'tenants in common'? I don't know if that will make a difference in this situation but it might.

    Hi sorry about your dilema.. but the answer to your question is No Im afraid.If both names are on the deeds then both signatures will needed by the estate agent before the house can go onto the market........... there is another way around this , best Pm me if you want to know ( p.s it is legal) just dont want to advertise it. BTW im an estate agent ( er not bragging, just so you know my advice is sound)
