Missing money out of my account

Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right place that i am posting this but i need advice. I live in Northern Ireland and 3 weeks ago tomorrow, friday 7th nov, i went to an ATM machine ,Northern Bank, i asked for £100, it took ages then i got my card spat out at me and a reciept saying that the card issuer was unavailable. I then proceeded to use it again asking for £80 and i got a reciept saying the card issuer was unavailable. I did think Ooooo did i not get as much wages as i thought! So i asked a security guard was there any more cash machines and explained what happened, he said that sometimes they play up and there was a cash machine in M&S, i went there and withdrew £80, but when i looked at my reciept it said i only had £5.16 left!! I drove home and looked at my online banking and realised that the previous £80 had adjusted but the £100 hadn't been adjusted. I phoned the bank and they said it would usually adjust in 24 hours, and if it hadnt then to phone back on Monday and they would start recovering it. It has now been nearly 3 weeks, i have made so many calls to my bank, Bank of Ireland, and they keep saying no news is good news to which my reply was that if i owed them £100 they would take it regardless if i had any money in my account and then charge me some stupid amount for becoming overdrawn! I also added that if they can charge then can i not? I just want to know has anyone else had this and if there is anything i can do to quicken the repayment!
Would be grateful of any advice.

They should have asked you to fill in a dispute transaction form, this is passed on to whoever controls the atm, when the balance the atm they should be £100 over and they should up hold your claim. In my experience most of these type of transactions adjust themselves within 24 hours, BOI telling you to cross your fingers and hope is just not good enough. Good LuckBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0
