Problems with installing Kaspersky anti virus

Im trying to install kaspersky av but it wont go any further in trying to install it as apparently theres avg 8 is still installed but i uninstalled a few weeks ago, whats the way round it,

when i installed kaspersky i had the same problem....click start, search and then type in avg....wait till its finished searching and then delete all the avg files....empty rubbish bin thing and restart and then try and install again....it worked for me that way'Normal' is a dryer setting.0

Yes its found 40 odd, i thought when you uninstall something it would remove everything0

i used to think that also but some programs dont and it causes conflicts...hope its working for you now'Normal' is a dryer setting.0

download AVG and when you go to install it, use the 'uninstall' option from the three options (Install, repair, uninstall).
It will locate any remnants for you and remove them.0
