This sounds too crazy to be true! Very few people would know the answer to this question.
What will they ask next, the date that you were conceived?

What determines the security questions?
Ive rung up a few times recently and been ask "what DD do you hold on the account" and "give me a recent transaction on the account" as the security checks. Different everytime. Probably a good thing tho
The day you were born does seem abit odd tho, as you have 1 in 7 chance of getting it right by guessing0 -

One security question was:
"what was your most recent transaction?"

What a stupid thing to ask:
1) the genuine account holder is very unlikely to know off the top of their head (or be quick enough at arithmetic to calculate it!)
2) it provides no more security that asking for the DOB, as the day can be calculated just as easily by a "baddie" as the genuine account holder, if they know the DOB0
