I have had AVG 8 installed for a while and have had no problems. Today it is saying that the update manager is not working as there is no connection and that I am not protected. Has anyone else had this problem? What do I need to do?

Many thanks:eek:

I have the same problem, i think it is a fault at their end.
i changed the update manager time to update later and that has removed the warning symbol so hopefully it will be ok then.
Your antivirus should still be working it is just not checking for the latest threats.

I had the same problem today, just click on 'tools' & then click on 'update from directory'...... that should sort you out....;)

suspect their download servers are under DOS (Denial of Service) attack again by some disgrunted saddo whos had their virus stopped in its tracks by them
