Working late and cabs...

Interesting one. Many moons ago I worked for a large manufacturing company whose accessibility was difficult without transport. The company provided coaches for all who needed transport, and for those who worked late taxis were the norm. I always assumed this was an obligation, but clearly it wasn't.
However, in many ways, the company had a good return on treating its workforce with respect, eg working over lunch when necessary.0 -
Unlike the VERY poor Company i work for then.0

i used to work for a large well known cinema chain and although i did not take up the offer as i was only a short walk away and they had a contract with local taxi company where it was the same, you paid like £3 ish each night for your ride home and had the option of sharing in which case the cost was split. Might be worth seeing if anyone can share if it is in the same direction?0

OH stopped going to his early shift on his bike (was on a health kick) after one too many brushes with the local smackheads looking to relieve him of, well, anything really.
