Sandblasting Quote

hi , i've searched the forum but not found any threads on this so hoping someone can help

i'd like to get my house sandblasted , it is a stone house with stone mullions that habe been painted (some not)

i would like the whole of the front of the house sandblasted (no other house walls) , about 8m in width , 2 storey house , 6 windows & 2 doors to board up? mullions around 3 windows & one door to be blasted to remove paint(on the front wall) , in addition the mullions around another 3 windows (2 only small) & patio doors also to be blasted at the back of the house along with a section of garden wall about 1 m high & 6 meters long

the cobtarctor will have easy access parking the equpment on the drive at the front of the house & have said they will clear up the mss as best possible afterwards

the quote i have received is £700 (net) is this a fair price or there abouts for the job?

Hi,
I am currently having my stone cottage sandblasted as I write this! Only getting the front done, 5 windows and one door to board up, all with painted stone mullions, and also the flags and stone wall out the front. House is about 5 meters wide, 2 storey. Good access right outside the house for workmen. They have boarded up all windows, covered my neighbours up as well.

Costing me £250 for the blasting, then I need a bit of pointing redoing afterwards, but getting a separate quote as won't be able to tell what needs doing until the sandblasting has been done.

Hope this helps. Had 2 other quotes, one at £300 for the same work, and the other at £600.

Seems cheap??? Go 4 it. The latest system is for SODA blasting which creates less mess and is not as agressive on the stone.
