I don't know the answer to your question, but I've previously had £1,000 over the counter from my Premier Direct account with no need to show additional ID.

Be aware though, that any 'large' over the counter withdrawal with A&L uses up your £250 ATM limit for that day. In other words, if you're borderline on the amount allowed then make sure you use the ATM for your first £250 before going to the counter.

    £500 without notice.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

If you phone them first you can order as much as you want and take it out of the PO.

Yes, you can order pretty much whatever you like if you give them a tinkle on their 0800 number. I've had £20k out in cash from my centre PO and you just take a recent statement with you and you're sorted. The local POs are usually good for a couple of k but larger amounts need to be the main PO or the smaller ones can order it in for you if you can wait til their next cash delivery (weekly).
