You will have to wait and see. Everything so far has been above board and he has paid on time. If he does a chargeback you should ask him to return the item before you give a refund.

As you are legally responsible for delivery of item, you should always include postage charges to cover your costs of recorded insured special delivery. If you do that you should be ok, but I don't know if you will be successful in recovering your loss from Royal Mail.

If he does a chargeback I doubt seller has any choice in the matter. If there is money in sellers paypal account it will be reclaimed by paypal, if there is no money, I am guessing Paypal will send a demand for repayment???

Thats right, its the old saying once bitten twice shy,i just want the transaction to be hassle free
  • Give the guy a quick call, confirm address and let him know it will be in the post the next day. Also don't forget to wish him a happy christmas. He will think he is getting great customer service and you get the address and phone number confirmed and get a person feel for the buyer.
