Side Trip Tips Please

Hi,

I regulary fly to NZ via Singapore. I have 5 days to kill in Asia due to different business commitments and have had my fill of Singapore. Can anyone give me any ideas of a location that I can visit - cheaply (there is the money saving link very slight I accept!). I don't want to fly to far and have been to Indo and Thailand.

Any suggestions would be great.

The daddy of side trip airlines would be Royal Brunei airlines for flights to New Zealand. Can incorporate Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Thailand, Singapore, Kolkata, Brunei and Auckland all on to one flexible ticket. I think STA travel will sell you the right ticket (even for old people who are non students). STA Travel also have access to a fare with Sri Lankan that cross tickets with Emirates and allows unlimited stopovers and any routing you like (so long as you don't replicate flight numbers) - Sri Lankan don't fly to New Zealand, but you may be able to use this ticket to access a combination of Emirates and Sri Lankan to get you there - only one part of a leg has to be with Sri Lankan.
