High Average???
I've just used my spreadsheet to work out my latest gas consumption over a period from Oct 16th to Nov 6th (23 days) and it turns out to be 60 kWh/day (1386 kWh over 23 days). Does that seem excessive as the CH is on during Mon - Fri for approx. 5 hours per day(morning and evening, off during the day) then depending on weather conditions longer at the weekends as we're both home all day. (2 people in a 3 bedroomed semi)

6 people in 3 bed mid terrace - average 56kwh a day with limited heating. 100+kwh half-term week. Looking like about 75kwh this week. Even in the summer, we average 25kwh because we have no shower, so hot baths for six. Also we cook by gas.0

Over the last three months we've averaged 9.4kwh for gas per day and 5kwh for elec per day. Three bed detached with 2 adults + 1 crazy cat.0

Your useage sounds about right, 60Kwh per day during cold conditions is likely.
We had a cold snap last week where you probably used nearer 80Kwh but since then you have probably been using 50-55Kwh averaging out at 60Kwh over the 23 day period.
If you average at 60Kwh per day over the next 6 months (Coldest winter period) you will have used 10800Kwh, add your spring / summer useage of 1200 Kwh and your totalling 12000Kwh per annum which is almost half the uk average, so not really high useage.
Don't panic it will level off through out the year, between March and September we usually use 1800 Kwh of Gas and October to Febuary 12000Kwh.
2 people, 4 bed 1960s semi, cavity wall insulation and 170mm of loft insulation
That is a Gas cooker, Gas powered shower and Gas heating (Combi).
Its the heating in winter that really ramps up the useage, but averaged out its not to bad0
