Points Removed from Driving License...any idea how?

Are there any driving license experts out there?

I got points for drink-driving in August 2002. They show on my license.

I've a feeling I can get these removed from my license after a certain period.

I've been on the DVLA and Directgov sites, and can't find any info about removing points.

Does anyone have any idea how I can do this? I'm sure it's quite common....

You send it off after the period listed and you get back a clean licence.

Unfortunately for you, that's not going to be any time before 2013.
