The first time I rang up, the girl said they were £40 but as a 'loyal customer' I could have it for £20.
I said I'd think about it but when I rang back about half an hour later the guy offered it for free without me even having to ask!
It has arrived today and is a NetgearWGR614. It seems to be a fairly basic G one which retails for around £30-40, but better than nothing and you can ring Virgin up for technical help if you need it - I'm going to set it up later today.

It might be worth ringing back and saying that your friend has been sent one free of charge, it does seem to depend on who you happen to speak to!
I set mine up yesterday afternoon and it was REALLY easy (even for me). The installation cd which comes with it takes you through the process in an idiot-proof way. Am now all set up with wireless pc, laptop and wii. Might even splash out on a wireless printer next!0 -
