sorry to ask yet another wireless networking question - if using 2 laptops with wireless capability side by side connected to same router about 5m away would they interfere with each other and, if so, how could you connect to avoid conflict (eg different channels etc)

They won't interfere with each other providing you don't change IP Address settings or for some unforeseen reason, both laptops receive the same IP Address. (This is conflicting whether wired or wireless)
How to stop this happening?: Leave the setup working as it is and don't change IP Addressing settings.
