Outlook 2002 Email Recipient Field Help

I use Outlook 2002 and Word 2002 is my email editor.

In the " To... " Recipient field as I begin to type someone's name it tries to predict who i am sending the email to. and as example I write "Joh" it gives me the following

John Apple
John Barnes

I rarely email John Barnes how do I get rid of him from the automatic prediction? I used to be able to type Joh and hit the enter key plus I need to try and avoid sending the wroung email to the wroung person.

Any assistance with this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You might want to try removing John Barnes from your contacts..
Not sure about 2002, but 2007 will canel iout automatic prediction if you keep typing.. I always find it easier to use my contacts list to insert within the Recipient field of an email.

Click on 'TO' next to the Recipient field of a new email to take you into your contacts. Beats typing every persons email addy.. :-)

    Hope this helps

No mate, thanks for the suggestion.
Both names are already in my contacts. I have tried deleting one and both from contacts and it makes no difference to the prediction.

Because I have emailed both contacts both names appear as i start to type however i dont want one of them to appear on the list anymore, as i dont email them often etc.

This works in Outlook 2003 so try it.

Start to type the name in the To field.
Once the names appear use the down arrow key to highlight the name you don't require and then use the delete key. The name should then be removed.
