Apologies for the unspecific subject line.
I have been using via the cheapest call-through and indirect access providers for years. However, the VOIP world has compeltely passed me by and I am not sure how suitable that would be in my set-up anyway.
Set-up
Requirements
Types of Call
Current cost of calls: £110 per annum (excluding line rental and internet). Foreign calls might increase.
Yesterday, I detected https://www.nonoh.net, which allows free calls to some countries without sign-up. Surely, there must be a limit? Are there other providers like that.
I would appreciate any tips to cut down further on my phone-costs. I am not seeking any advice on broadband as I am aware of all my possibilities or the lack of.

Set-up
- 2 phone-lines BT Option 1 @ £10.50
- unmetered dial-up via 2nd phone-line - I am virtually always-on
- no availability of DSL
- I might get satellite broadband
- registered with Primus + various indirect access providers
Requirements
- line rental via BT
- I don't want to be tethered to the PC when making calls. I use an analogue walk-about phone with head-phones.
- no Windows software download - I run Linux.
Types of Call
- UK landline, daytime
- Germany, anytime, to people with analogue phones, some of whom have an internet connection and others who don't

To use it properly you have to sign up and buy credit.
See: http://www.nonoh.net/en/free.html
"Fair Use and Restrictions
New users can try Nonoh out for free for a total of 60 minutes. During this trial period you can only call the destinations marked as free. Register your account by buying credit in order to extend your free calls. "0
