interest rates get cut to save jobs0 -
One word sums this up ... "PANIC" !! .... rates have been slashed in the States too, with little effect thus far, except making the currency worth even less !!!0

Ok, for the archivists amongst us....when was the last time interest rates were this low?We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Me, self-centred? I am an 'evil' BTL owner. That goes without saying.
This cut will save jobs and stop people getting re-possessed. The long-term economics of it all is outside of my knowledge base. We could have a scenario where we have reasoable housing costs and people in work. I think thats good.18 May 2007 (start of Mortgage):
Coventry Offset Mortgage £220800
Offset Savings: £0
Mortgage Balance: £220,800
14 Jan 08
Coventry Offest Mortgage: 219002
Offset Savings: 28200
Mortage Balance: £190802
And still chucking every spare penny into it!0 -
Do you think mortgage rates will really show this drop?0

Well, they didn't really pass the previous one yet, did they? (I may have missed)
anyway, FTSE seems to have liked the big cut - it jumped up quite a bit after the announcement. Just how long this euphoria is going to last and it starts going down again?Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Loyds TSB state they will pass the full cut on to their customers from the 1st December.
