Scottish Gas Bill
Hi,
ive just received my scottish gas bill, and they have increased my monthly payment up to £128 from 28/11. I want to change but, really dont know how to go about it.
I live in a house that is 3 years old, when I moved here everyone kept saying that we would notice a big difference in our heating because it was a new house, the house would always be warm, but, I dont feel it is, I feel its a very cold house, and have always thought this since I moved in in may 07. Its a detached house, with 5 bedrooms. I dont have the heating on all the time, maybe a couple of hours at most now, before, we didnt have it on at all.
Im also £99.33 in credit with Scottish Gas for my gas bill.
To me, this doesnt sound right, but maybe im just being naive about it.
What does anyone else think, and how would I look at moving supplier?

Your monthly payment is way too high then. I would ask them to calculate your probable annual bill and ask them to reduce the monthly payment in line with it. Then use the price comparison sites putting in the figure of 11586 and see how much you could save - be aware though that switching may not reduce the DD initially. Better, whatever you do, to contact your current supplier and get the DD set at a realistic amount.0

Thanks Sue,
ive called them back, and they have reduced the monthly direct debit to £77, ive told them that I have put the figures into the Uswitch web page, and N Power are coming up alot cheaper than what Im paying at the moment.
They are trying to get me to change to their click 6 deal, and I have looked into that online, so, I will speak to my husband tonight about it and take it from there.
