American airlines airmiles

I recieve regular e mails from American Airlines. They have informed me that I have 1000 mileage balance on my account.I am unsure how to use these.
PS I dont know why i have recieved them,as i have never flown with AA although i do recieve regular offers from them.

  • Hi,

Well 1000 AA miles will get you nothing, zero, ziltch a one way flight in coach is anything from 28 thousand to 68 thousand miles, or first class 125K miles each way. Although the miles do add up if you fly with them regular and have the AA Credit Card from Citi like i do, but in all honesty if you dont fly them wouldnt be much use for you anyway
