Hi, I know what Direct payments are as I work with people that use them and I really think you should get in touch with the social worker as we have many patients who regurlarly have home care PLUS direct payments.
I know it sounds daft as I was under the impression it was instead of Social paying for care. But people do have both. We went to a patient just wednesday night who had both. I live in South Yorks if thats any help.May £10 a day challenge£19.61/£310Ebay challenge...£12.61/£2000 -

When my mom started direct payment we were told that any problems we had were to be referred to Penderels Trust, and she was signed off from the social worker. A couple of months back when we had a few problems my mom phoned the social worker and she seemed a put out that she had contacted her. To be honest as frustrating as it is i would my mother and I had control over who cares for her as in our experience social services have not been very helpful.0
