Ive been waiting for a refund for a faulty item which was returned to the retailer on the 24th Sept. They verbally agreed a refund as per their T&Cs and have advised me that it was processed on the 22nd Oct.
I have called them many times and im a bit stuck on what to do next, its £120 so not something i can loose easily !!
My credit card company are going to contact them for me but I would like to try and hurry things along, shall i try a strongly worded email ??
I am prepared to take legal action but i dont know if i should tell them that
thanks

I'm not an expert, but what I would do is put everything in writing, sent by recorded delivery. Write "FINAL LETTER BEFORE ACTION" in big letters across the top, and state that you are giving them 14 days to reply and issue a refund otherwise you will make a small claim in court to recover your money.
I *think* the law says that you need to give a "reasonable amount of time" to respond, so it might be worth giving them 30 days even though your letter says 14 days.
If the company haven't at least made some kind of attempt to refund your money, sue the pants off them! I seem to remember that it costs £30 to make a small claim. You can even do it online here: https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp0
